Overall, the stay was worth the price and the location was great. I got to be in Grindelwald without breaking the bank.
The location was great for the property although like others mention, it is a very steep incline going up. Close to the train station but even without carrying luggage up, I was winded every time. The breakfast buffet in the morning was pretty good and although I didn’t utilize it, I heard you can request pancakes, eggs, etc in the morning as it’s not normally just set out. They will also prepare a takeaway breakfast for you if you need to be out before the breakfast begins. And I enjoyed having my own balcony which had a table and chair. The place was also clean and spacious and bed was comfortable.
The walls are pretty thin so I recommend bringing a white noise machine if you’re going to bed earlier than that chatter around you. There is also no air circulation in the rooms so it gets very stuffy. Now I’m not sure how common this is in other rooms, but I had mold all on the bathroom ceiling. When I told management they mentioned it happens because people don’t open the windows during showers and the moisture gets trapped which makes sense. I left for the evening and they “treated it” but not sure what was done as when I came back it just looked like it was painted over but who knows. I would suggest if you have a weakened immunity, to be cautious although I’m not sure if it’s common in many of these older buildings in Switzerland without AC or ventilation. They were nice and kind and explained what they used to treat it but I’m not sure how genuine it was. Also the downside of keeping windows open is I kept getting small bugs inside.

Absolutely would stay again and highly recommend other to stay here too!
The staff were amazing at helping us navigate the town and area. Super helpful during our visit, especially with our 4:30 am checkout and served us a little to-go breakfast. Rooms were always clean and orderly when we got back from our travels.
We would have preferred the rooms to have ac or atleast a fan as we like to sleep very cold.
