The location of this hotel is truly exceptional, and we'll certainly be back
Despite the price (which was well outside our typical travel budget), we plan to come right back to this hotel the next time we're in Italy, and try to get the very same room. We were absolutely floored by the view from our private balcony (even better than the excellent view from the restaurant below). The breakfast was marvelous.
Parking is a real challenge given the closure of the village to most cars and the limited view that map applications have regarding gate locations, access restrictions, etc. I'd recommend that you find your way to *any* public parking just outside the village before checking in at the hotel, and then getting as clear an understanding of the garage location and procedure as you can from the desk before moving your car into the garage. Once arriving at the garage, communication with the desk through the speaker at the gate is fraught, so hopefully you won't have multiple cars honking behind you as you try to get them to open the gate. Walking to/from the garage is very easy once you know the way, especially given the tunnel under the main road and elevator.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights, and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself, room, bar, restaurant, and the view. It was perfect for what our expectations were. We would definitely go back. Best location in Riva Del Gardia!
