This hotel was one of our favorites in our month long stay in Costa Rica. The bedding was luxurious, the pillows were a mix of soft and firm, and the mattress was so comfortable. A welcome change after several stays of hard mattresses and thin pillows. The towels were thick and soft. The room was amazing (Jose upgraded us) with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the most gorgeous view of mountains and the Pacific Ocean. We loved the shaded terrace and comfortable chairs, both in the room and on the terrace.There is no air conditioning, but none was needed. The ceiling fan kept the air circulating and, of course, Monteverde is much cooler. The food in the restaurant was delicious, some of the best we had in Costa Rica. The pizza is cooked in a wood burning oven and the beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly. Jose was always available to answer questions or make recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.
