Un bon emplacement pour découvrir Kyoto, avec un personnel très accueillant
L’emplacement est sans aucun doute le principal atout de cet hôtel. Il se trouve à proximité immédiate des galeries commerçantes couvertes de Kyoto et du Nishiki Market, Pontocho. Il est également facile de rejoindre les différents quartiers grâce aux arrêts de bus situés à proximité, ou via le métro. Le personnel a été particulièrement sympathique et serviable. Nous avons notamment apprécié leur aide pour l’expédition de nos bagages vers notre hôtel à Tokyo, deux jours avant notre départ. Cela nous a permis de poursuivre notre séjour à Kyoto puis de rejoindre Tokyo sans être encombrés par nos valises. La chambre était également assez spacieuse, malgré un agencement un peu atypique.
L’établissement nous a un peu surpris à notre arrivée. Nous nous attendions à un hôtel d’un autre standing et l’ensemble nous a paru assez vieillissant. Nous avons notamment remarqué des moquettes tachées à différents endroits du bâtiment ainsi qu’un espace laverie qui n’était pas particulièrement propre. Les oreillers n’étaient pas particulièrement confortables. Dans l’ensemble, l’hôtel manque un peu de charme et mériterait un rafraîchissement pour être davantage à la hauteur de son emplacement.
