Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, freundliches Personal und toll eingerichtete Terrasse und Teeecke!
Ich war alleine in einem Sechserbettzimmer, hatte also reichlich Platz. ;-) Grosses Badezimmer, toll eingerichtete Tee-, Kaffee- und Mikrowellenecke mit kleinem Kühlschrank und separater Terrasse nur für die Hotelgäste hinter dem Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal im Restaurant, welches auch mal etwas nachgeschaut hat, wenn sie es nicht wusste. Leckere Wildgerichte passend zur Saison. Das Gebäude ist eher alt, aber Alles in allem zu dem Preis passte es wunderbar für auf meiner Wanderung. Zu Fuss ist es dann noch eine knappe Stunde runter nach Grindelwald, hat aber auch eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel.

Das Hotel liegt in beeindruckender Lage und ist trotzdem ausreichend weit vom touristischen Trubel des Ortes Grindelwald entfernt. Das Restaurant im Hotel bietet leckeres Essen zu günstigen Preisen an.
Ich war wegen meiner späten Buchung im Mehrbettzimmer untergebracht, was natürlich im Vergleich zum Ort Grindelwald unschlagbar günstig ist, allerdings mit erheblichen Komforteinbußen einhergeht. Der Raum war mit Betten maximal (8) und mit Verstaummöglichkeiten minimal ausgestattet. Zu wenig Stomanschlüsse/Lademöglichkeiten, schlechte Belüftung im Zimmer und die letzte Ankunft von Zimmerbewohnern war gegen 0:30 Uhr. Bei robustem Schlaf ist das sicher machbar.

The location was spectacular with exceptional views. The hotel was at the end of the bus line high up the mountainside and very quiet. Great hiking all around. I would return anytime! Sure do wish they had an elevator. Did not enjoy lugging the luggage up 3 flights of stairs 0
