Average stay with mediocre, overpriced food
For the high resort fee, I would have thought using the golf chipping area would be free. There really wasn't anything else to do at the resort except hang out by the pool or go to the private beach, which had no accommodations. We were hoping there would be more walking paths to explore. I was hoping the variety of food available on the resort would have been higher, too, as well as different sea food options. I wasn't impressed with the food, and I'm not a food snob, either. But, the Buttercake at the Mangrove Bar was the best thing in the hotel. The lazy river is long and and good part of the area. However, sometimes children would go in and hang around the back portion and swim in the area without supervision and not use the river itself. Staff was good we didn't have any issues. Room was clean. Bathrooms should probably have ventilation fans, though. Inside public areas were very spacious and nice. Our room was located on the north side of the building and had a balcony. View was ok, but there was no point going out onto it because the AC units were on the roof of the building below, and incredibly loud. The room itself was very quiet, though. Pool service was very slow as they appeared understaffed. Wifi was terrible. No microwaves the room, either. For some very strange reason, the great outdoor space where the pool bar is located closes at 400p or 500p. Would have been a superb location for another food option (if there food was any good, that is). Resort reminded me more of a waterpark than a resort.
