  An amazing stay, made even better by a team that truly cares!

  Our stay at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful and one of the most memorable parts of our honeymoon. We had an amazing experience overall, and the resort truly made our time in Maui feel special. What impressed us most, however, was how the hotel handled an unexpected situation during our stay. Due to a power outage affecting the property, we experienced some inconvenience. While this was certainly not something anyone could have planned for, the hotel took responsibility and made a genuine effort to make things right. We would especially like to recognize Mackenzie, who was incredibly helpful, attentive, and professional. She personally assisted us with the situation and helped arrange a refund for the affected period. Her kindness and willingness to help made a real difference, and we sincerely appreciate the way she handled everything. It’s easy to provide great hospitality when everything goes according to plan. What truly sets a hotel apart is how it treats its guests when things don’t. Hyatt Regency Maui showed us exactly what great hospitality and accountability look like. Despite the unexpected circumstances, we left with wonderful memories and would happily return. Highly recommended!

  Everything at the hotel is amazing. It’s clean and beautiful, the breakfasts have something for everyone, and there’s even a laundry room with really good machines. Nothing feels pushy. The kids’ pool is fantastic, and there are penguins and parrots!

  I'm very disappointed by the experience in this hotel. The pools and hot tub were very nice, but we're closed pretty early.

  For a hotel at this price point, I expected much more. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here. We actually moved our flight back from Maui one night earlier specifically so we could spend the last night of our honeymoon at the Hyatt, on our first wedding anniversary. I mentioned the occasion in advance and expected at least some small acknowledgment, but there was nothing at all, which was disappointing. The room itself also felt surprisingly basic for such an expensive hotel. It wasn’t particularly well equipped — there wasn’t even regular coffee creamer or nice glassware in the room. The layout was also very inconvenient and poorly designed. For example, you can’t comfortably stand in front of the sink and mirror while opening the shower door at the same time, because the spaces interfere with each other. We also tried to book some of the complimentary activities, but everything we were interested in was already closed for booking. Beach access was less convenient than expected, with quite a long walk to actually reach the beach, and the water pressure in the room was very low. Overall, the stay simply did not feel worth the price. We paid a significant amount for what was supposed to be a special night during our honeymoon, and the experience felt very underwhelming. I would not choose to stay here again.
