  Fun hotel in the city with funky rooms. Nice restaurant and bar on site with great staff

  Funky rooms, great size bathrooms.

  Pool area could have had a little bit more seating.

  My friend and I stayed at Hyde Perth on the 2nd of October, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. During our stay, we ordered two drinks totalling approximately $50. After waiting over 40 minutes without receiving them, we had to leave and went downstairs to request a refund. The first bartender we spoke to informed us that we needed to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, she explained that the refund would need to be requested through WhatsApp. We found this quite unprofessional, but we didn’t want to make a fuss, so we agreed. We were assured that we would receive confirmation of the refund. However, we never received any confirmation or our money back. Since then, we have contacted the hotel multiple times in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, no one has seemed particularly interested in helping us. After several attempts to follow up, the manager eventually told us that she had no recollection of the situation and essentially couldn’t help us. For a hotel that charges premium prices, I find this level of customer service completely unacceptable. I’m not sure why the hotel would assume we would fabricate a story over $50, but we have essentially paid for something we never received, with no effort from management to resolve the situation. I also want to mention the pool, as this was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel. While it looks beautiful in photos, the pool area loses direct sunlight at approximately 1:30 pm due to a large neighbouring building. The pool is also advertised as heated, yet we found the water far too cold to swim in throughout our stay. We’re from Tasmania, so we’re certainly no strangers to cold weather! Overall, we expected a much higher standard of service and facilities given the price of this hotel. What should have been a lovely stay has instead left us feeling extremely disappointed, particularly with the complete lack of accountability regarding our refund.

  A new and trendy, aesthetically pleasing hotel with very comfy rooms in the heart of Perth CBD.

  The hotel is located centrally in Perth CBD and convenient to restaurants and shops. The reception staff was efficient, attentive and very friendly. The hotel and rooms itself has a nice trendy aesthetic, comfortable, and great for our overnight stay.

  Only valet parking at the hotel and the drop off/pick area has only two car spaces infront of the lobby. The ala carte breakfast service can be improved for efficiency. Speaking from a hospo background, I felt for the floor staff needing to trek across the lobby to get food from the kitchen and back to serve at the bar lounge...Having said that brekkie was excellent though!
