  Disappointed with a smelly bathroom

  Before we arrived I received a message that the toilet with the main bedroom was not working but the shower and sink were usable. We arrived and the smell from the bathroom was horrible. They had someone come to the apartment to check on it. He took out multiple bags of what I can only imagine was poop. He informed us that we should not poop or use TP at all in that toilet. The manager said it was fine to use as normal, but we could tell that the mechanism behind the toilet in that bathroom was ruined for “normal” use and what was making the bathroom smell. We aired out the apartment but the smell was still coming from the bathroom. We had to keep the door closed to prevent the smell from consuming the apartment. They came the next morning to clean the bathroom. It smelled like cleaning product for a while but the smell was still lingering and required us to keep the door closed so we could sleep in that bedroom. I specifically booked an apartment with 2 bathrooms so we could have a relaxing vacation with my husband and 3 teenagers. We did not want to be rushed around and irritated at each other every morning before heading off to our activities and tours. I did try to use the shower once after spraying perfume and having a portable fan blow beside a dryer sheet but once the humidity in the bathroom started the smell was back and nauseating while I dried my hair. There is not a bathroom fan in either bathroom which made timing for using the bathroom that did not smell even more problematic. The owner did provide a 20% refund however I do not feel like that was nearly enough for the inconvenience of only having one bathroom and could have booked an apartment with only one bathroom for much less even after the 20% refund.

  Only one usable bathroom, unless you can’t smell.

  Overall, the apartment was decent, clean, and livable. The owner was responsive and did try to be accommodating when we raised concerns. The second bathroom worked fine, which helped us get through the stay.

  The biggest issue was the master bathroom shower. We had repeated problems with both the water heater and the water flow. After several attempts to get it resolved, we eventually gave up and worked around it by sharing the other bathroom. The owner really needs to stay in the apartment for a few days to experience the issue firsthand and understand how frustrating it is. The kitchen was okay, but it could use more supplies, especially storage containers and other basic items. We use the kitchen quite a bit when we travel, and compared with other apartments we have stayed in, this one was lacking. The TVs were also very outdated. We were unable to watch the World Cup because the TVs could not download additional streaming apps, and even the existing apps did not work properly because they could not be updated. For the price, we expected a higher-quality experience. This apartment cost significantly more than several other places we stayed in Europe, and while it was clean and decent, the shower issues, limited kitchen setup, and outdated TVs made it feel below the standard we expected.

  Úžasná lokalita blízko pláže, výhľad na more aj mesto je krásný. Apartmán je plne moderne vybavený, pekný, čistý. Manželské postele sú mimoriadne pohodlné, sedenie v obývacom priestore pohodlné a veľké pre viac ľudí. Ubytovanie je vhodné pre 5 osôb, ale aj pre menej. Domáci sú veľmi milí, ústretoví👍. V blízkosti obchody.

  Eine wunderbare Wohnung, groß, hell, ruhig und sauber. Jedes Zimmer ist klimatisiert. Die Wohnung ist umfangreich ausgestattet z.B. Salz, Pfeffer, WC-Papier, Geschillspültabs usw. Ausgezeichnete Lage, 4 min. zum Strand, 3 min. zum Supermarkt. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und bedanken uns bei den netten Vermietern.
