    A gorgeous retreat by the woods and close to a special shrine; massive amounts of food (I. e. Matsusaka beef and pork) f

    Off the beaten tourist path (so don’t expect much English or ability to cater to food preferences) and proximity to Naiku Ise Inner Shrine.

    I think the hot spring water has changed (?) under the new owners since I last stayed there 2 1/2 years ago. it smelled like chlorine.
