    It was excellent. We hope to go back next year to see more of the sights.

    Tokens were provided for delicious croissants and other breakfast pastries from an excellent pasticceria two floors below the apartment.Lots of coffee pods in the apartment and a welcome basket to make a local tomato and spaghetti recipe were very much appreciated.Easy access to local train stations to visit Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento.Good selection of local shops, eg greengrocers, deli, bakery, and also nearby restaurants, not forgetting a Gelateria with the best ice cream ever.

    Geweldig verblijf, mede door de geweldige gastvrijheid!

    Als je verblijft in het Il Cammeo Guest House in Torre del Greco maak je kennis met de gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van een Napolitaans gezin. We hadden ons voor onze reis naar Napels en omgeving geen betere plek kunnen wensen. We zijn uitermate hartelijk door de verhuurder Raffaele ontvangen en kregen veel tips over de omgeving, restaurants, etc. Hij bekommerde zich gedurende ons verblijf voortdurend om ons welzijn waardoor we ons heel erg welkom hebben gevoeld. Het appartement zelf was onberispelijk schoon, koel en aan veel kleine dingen waren gedacht (koffie, vaatwasmiddel, jam, etc.). Het ligt in een leuke buurt dichtbij een lekkere ijssalon en restaurant (Con Gusto) waar we 2x hebben gegeten. Met de trein ben je in 25 minuten in hartje Napels. In Torre del Greco zelf zijn weinig Touristen (vonden wij) en zo werd je echt even ondergedompeld in het échte zuid-Italiaanse leven. Er zijn veel kleine winkeltjes te vinden en kraampjes met verse groente/fruit/vis etc. In de ochtend haalden we gratis croissantjes bij de bakker onder ons op de begane grond, heerlijk! In de namiddag of avond zaten we vaak bij een bar (Baraonda Bar) met uitzicht op de zee of aan de haven en genoten van de bedrijvigheid om ons heen. We hebben ongelooflijk veel gezien en beleefd. We kunnen deze plek en met name het appartement van Raffaele en zijn vrouw van harte aanbevelen. Bedankt dat we hier te gast mochten zijn!

    Perfect base to explore Herculaneum, Pompeii and the surrounding villas.

    Beautifully decorated, had everything you could ask for in terms of kitchen equipment and local information. Raffaele is a gracious host and is very knowledgeable about the area. The vouchers for pastries from the passticeria downstairs were a fantastic added bonus. Herculaneum was only half an hours walk away.
