frustrating
The check-in process was extremely frustrating and poorly managed. The host provided check-in instructions very late and withheld essential access information until we completed an online form, apparently to avoid meeting us at the apartment to explain the check-in process and collect the required passport information in person. The apartment also had serious issues with its basic utilities. The hot water was unreliable and lasted no more than two minutes, making it impossible for a family of three to shower comfortably. We also lost electricity twice during our stay. Despite knowing that I was traveling with my pregnant wife and our three-year-old daughter, the host refused to come to the apartment to check the situation, claiming that nobody was available. The following morning, the host offered to send a handyman to address the hot water problem, but the handyman never showed up, and the issue remained unresolved. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The lack of timely communication, unreliable hot water and electricity, and failure to provide the promised assistance were unacceptable. Traveling with a pregnant wife and a young child made these issues particularly stressful. I would not recommend this accommodation to families expecting reliable utilities, proper communication, and basic support from their host.

Departamento pequeño con buena ubicación
La ubicación era muy buena.
El agua caliente no funcionaba bien, no podían bañarse dos personas seguidas porque dejaba de salir agua caliente. Para cuatro personas el departamento es extremadamente pequeño, no hay lugar para circular. Para dos personas puede ir bien.

A charming little suite in a cozy Italian village - the real deal
The location was nice and quiet as you are away from the main street, but still a couple of sets of stone stairs away from the shops. The check in process was smooth. We had delicious mocha pot coffee at our disposal and the privacy and quiet to rest and relax in the afternoons. The bed was comfortable and equipped with a throw blanket which is great since it is a bit chillier in the evenings. We had a place to dry our clothes and beach towels and the host provided us with fresh soft towels in a surplus. The shower has great water pressure and warm water at any time of the day. We were all in all very satisfied with our stay and would return if we revisit Vernazza for sure.
Keep in mind your windows are facing the streets directly so you should not keep the shades open if you are getting dressed or playing something, since that will all be seen/heard. Also, the bathroom window, which we had to keep open, is in the eyesight level of people passing it, so it really should be closed while you are using it or showering so as to keep your privacy.
