Great place for a restful sleep
I chose this B&B for my last night in Florence before flying back to the States, mainly because of its convenient location near the train station and because it was listed as a B&B. Location was perfect for my needs, especially for a quick overnight stay before traveling. When I arrived, there was a button to push to connect with the staff. I pushed it and waited, but didn’t get a response. I then sent a message and called the staff, who told me to push the button again to get inside. The second time, they were able to unlock the main door. And then… this place has a lift! Yay! 😀 After navigating plenty of stairs throughout Italy, having an elevator was definitely appreciated! Once checked in, I noticed an advertisement explaining that breakfast could be ordered for an additional charge. This was a little confusing to me since the property is listed as a B&B, and I had specifically chosen B&B accommodations expecting breakfast to be included. The property itself is lovely, and the terrace is beautiful. Unfortunately, when I came back in the evening and wanted to spend some time out there, I managed to get locked outside! The latch was on the inside of the door, so there was no way for me to unlock it from the terrace. Once again, I had to call the staff for help. Thankfully, the room itself was beautiful, cozy, and exactly what I needed for a good night’s sleep before traveling home. The staff was also very helpful in arranging a taxi for me the following morning to get to the airport, which made my departure much easier. Overall, this was a comfortable and convenient place for my final night in Florence. A few things were a little confusing—particularly the check-in/access and the breakfast situation—but the room was lovely, the location was convenient, and the elevator was a definite bonus!
