  Spacious Flat With All You Need

  This spacious flat is situated in the centre of a bustling and vibrant town, with a great bakery and a concenience shop over the road, and above the hosts delicious choc and coffee shop. It has all you need for a lovely stay and a garden for the dogs, great Indian and Chinese restaurant/take-aways nearby too. Usually can get parked outside, especially later in the day. It's close to Threave Castle and nature reserve, which are great to visit and Kirkudbright is nearby, with a fantastic seafood van. Just a lovely flat central to many attractions. Host Gill's complementary chocs and ground coffee are delicious.

  There is a lot of traffic past the cottage until about 10pm, which we became accustomed to and there are stairs up to the flat, just to make those aware who don't like stairs, or can't use them.

  Lovely stay in Castle Douglas.

  The property was well equipped and was like a home from home. We appreciated the welcome coffee and chocolates. The location is very central with lots of amenities nearby. Overall we had a great stay.

  Only finding out there was an extra £10 charge for the dog. Better to just put that in the advertised price.

  Comfortable stay in Castle Douglas

  Comfortable. Good base for exploring the surrounding area. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Lovely coffee shop downstairs with fabulous chocolates. Nice little tea room nearby. Some nice little shops on the same street. Would recommend Threave Estate and Threave Castle. Also visit Kippford for some beautiful views and a nice walk. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay.

  When we arrived the kitchen side had sugar across it and the sides were sticky so we had to wipe them down. Skirting boards were dusty and dirty in places and there were cobwebs and dust in the corner of the room I slept in and also some hanging from the kitchen ceiling. Radiators could have done with a clean as well.
