This B&B was a great choice for our trip and we will book it again.
We booked Chisholm Trail Room - nice room and bathroom The owners were were very pleasant and accommodating with anything we needed. It was great to see what they have done with the Inn since taking it over. They have expended a lot into making it the best around. The breakfast was very good, something different and enjoyable. It was something you typically don't find at a B&B and certainly not at a hotel. The Halloween decorations were outstanding - over the top. Bill went the extra mile for us transporting us back and forth to the square and to get our Cars from a local spot he arranged for us to leave them. The snacks and beverages in the common room was a nice touch. We will be back!
Really couldn't think of anything we didn't like. The stairs were creaky but that is typical in a house this old.

This B&B was a great choice for our trip and we will book it again.
We stayed in Philippa's Balcony room - nice large room, nicely appointed and period correct. Julie, Lannie, and Bill were were very pleasant and accommodating with anything we needed. They have done a lot with the Inn since taking it over - nice to see someone pour so much work into it. The snacks and beverages were a nice touch - and WOW on the over-the-top Halloween decorations. The breakfast was amazing, fresh cooked (fresh eggs) and very unique. Great coffee and the breakfast was much better than many of the B&B's we have stayed at. Bill went the extra mile for us transporting us back and forth to the square and to get our Cars from a local spot he arranged for us to leave them. We did walk back to the Inn once and it was a short pleasant 12 minute walk from the historic square. The new owners are doing an amazing job. They have attended to the inside and the small TLC items on the exterior will happen. Come check them out - We will be back!

Iron Horse Inn
The owners of this B&B go above and beyond for their guests. From the superb breakfast, and coffee, wine frim their wine bar, coffee bar, to personal drives to town if needed, although there is a free trolley that will take you to town and back as well. This is an excellent stay and I highly recommend Iron Horse.

Beautiful old home converted into nice Granbury bed and breakfast
The Iron Horse Inn is a beautifully furnished Victorian style house converted into a bed and breakfast. The property itself looks clean and well maintained. We really liked the open first floor reception room with its brick fireplace, gorgeous old wood staircase and lovely breakfast room.
Some of the furniture (settee) in the bedroom wasn’t very comfortable and the power sources for charging phones were slow charging but these are things I expect come with an old Victorian home. The main reason for the low score was that the hosts appeared to have forgotten we were coming. When I originally requested to check in between 2-3pm, I didn’t receive a response ( their normal checking is 4pm) therefore we arrived at 2:30 to no one at the house. We left for an hour and came back to still an empty house, no note, no text and no email from the host. I messaged the host but no response so at 4:01pm when still no one was at the house, I phoned and got a the host who definitely sounded like they had forgotten we were coming. He told me they were on their way home. We enjoyed our stay however next time, the host might leave a note for guests or message them when running late. We’ll give them another try later in the year and let you know how that experience goes. Enjoy your travels!
