Mediocre
If I ran a hotel I would want its location and the reception and other facilities adequately signposted. And above all I would not want the driveway up to it to be a third rate farm track with massive potholes that fill with water when it rains heavily and with no adequate external lighting
See above Rooms were functional but no more than that Receptionist was polite but not welcoming

Never again!!!!!!!!!! what a complete waste of £95.
Very very little, apart from the gardens. Only a dreary continental breakfast would have been provided at a cost of £12-50 each !!!!!! NO restaurant on site.
As a consultant I used to work in various top class 4/5 star hotels in & around London, however my honest opinion of this establishment is that its not a 'hotel', more a Conference Center with rooms for weddings. 'What did we like',?........ Very very little, apart from the gardens. It did not fill us with any sense or hope of a cozy start to our break, in what we had expected to be a 'Country House Hotel'!!!!! especially after being expected to drive down the only entrance which WAS literally a very potholed dirt CART TRACK that necessitated the constant stopping of our car to remove HUGE logs that intruded across the track. TV not working correctly needing constant attention, NO restaurant meant any food stuffs needed by a guest had to be UBERED into the room & eaten on bedroom tables. Only one member of staff available!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! evenings & daytime, Only after we complained about the dark smelly first room with dreadful beds offered to us, did the member of staff move us to another 'acceptable' room that did have a good quality bathroom, but a lacklustre supply of washing soaps.
