    זהירות - נמלי אש (fire ants)

    הזמנו שני לילות לתאריך 19 באוגוסט 26, לבלות חופשה זוגית בירושלים. מאחר והצימר אינו מציע ארוחת בוקר, אבל יש בו מטבח מאובזר, קנינו מעט מצרכי מזון לבוקר. הגענו לצימר ונכנסו לישון. באמצע הלילה התעוררנו מכאבים צורבים של עקיצות, הדלקנו אור וגילינו נחילי נמלי-אש בכל מקום. כמובן שהתקשינו מאד להמשיך לישון. בבוקר, כשהכנו לעצמנו ארוחה קלה, תוך שניות פשטו נחילים של נמלי אש לצלחות. קראנו לבעל העסק, אשר הגיע מיד מוכן עם ערכת רעל לנמלי אש. לדבריו הבעיה מוכרת לו מהמקלחת, והוא חשב שטיפל בה. הסברנו שלא נוכל להמשיך לשהות בצימר לילה נוסף. הוא לא הגיב, ולרגע לא חשב להתנצל או להציע פיצוי. נאלצנו לסיים את הבילוי מוקדם ממה שתוכנן, בעוגמת נפש וכאבי עקיצות. כתבנו לבעל העסק שמאחר ונאלצנו, בגלל הנמלים, לסיים את שהותנו מוקדם מהצפוי, מן הראוי שיחזיר לנו לפחות את עלות היחסית. התגובה היתה שלילית ותוקפנית ונטולת הסבר הגיוני. חוות הדעת הזו נכתבה כדי להזהיר נופשים מעוגמת נפש בשל עקיצות נמלי האש, ויחס מזלזל של בעל העסק.
