A lovely, modern hotel in a good location to explore
This is a lovely, modern hotel, with very clean rooms and communal areas. The views from the front of the hotel are amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, particularly the reception and bar teams, who really added to our experience. The location was ideal for us, as it's a little away from the busy centre, offering a more relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed being within walking distance of the main areas, as it meant we could explore different restaurants and bars along the way rather than staying in one place. We visited during the off-season, but there were still plenty of places open for us to enjoy. The pool area is beautiful, and having direct access to the sea was a real bonus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and felt the hotel offered a lovely setting to relax and explore the surrounding area.
My friend and I wanted to leave a fair and balanced review of this hotel. We visited at the beginning of the off-peak season, so we kept our expectations in line with the time of year. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, with plenty of options to choose from. However, a little more variety would have been appreciated, along with quicker replenishment of some items. We occasionally found ourselves waiting longer than expected for food such as eggs to be refilled. On arrival, you are greeted by a number of signs outlining the hotel's rules, which can initially come across as quite strict. However, this impression doesn't reflect the atmosphere once you're actually staying there, nor the staff, who were welcoming and friendly. In our room, we felt the lighting could be improved. There were no bedside or reading lights, just one main light, which isn't ideal if one person wants to read while the other wants to sleep. Unfortunately, our room also overlooked a neighbouring hotel that appeared to be less than half constructed. This is, of course, outside the hotel's control, but it was a shame as it detracted from what would otherwise have been a lovely view. Staff explained that construction work isn't permitted during the peak summer season, which is understandable, although the neighbouring building appeared to have been unfinished for some time. It's a shame that this ongoing development affects the outlook from the hotel, particularly given the stunning views it otherwise has to offer. Overall, we wanted to highlight these points while recognising that some of our experience may have been influenced by the time of year and factors outside the hotel's control. With a few small improvements, particularly around breakfast and room lighting, the stay could have been even better.
