  Beautiful location, fantastic comminication and host friendliness. Pictures on listing are from when it was newly finished, definitely not current. Ac works wonderfully!!!! The cabana itself could definitely use some work. The door doesn't seal, so when it rained, the floor inside the door was drenched. Had to have a towel in front of door to keep the water at bay. The electricity flickers constantly. The kitchenette doesn't have bowls. The "hot water" for shower is about 5 degrees warmer than the cold water, so don't expect a warm shower. Shelly and Ty made the week wonderful for us, but i would not stay here again if the owners don't do some updating. The walls are severely bowed due to moisture, the shower has barely enough water pressure to get your hair wet, and it's impossible to sleep with the noise from the bar. Shelly did warn us about the bar noise, we decided to chance it. Poor choice on our part! Make sure you have earplugs, as the music starts between 7 and 8am and doesn't stop til midnight. Definitely a 2-3 star accommodation made nicer by the hospitality.

  The hostess Shelly was amazing! She waited for us to get there. The express bus is not so express!!!! Everyday she greeted us good morning and always before she left she stopped by to see if we needed anything. She is very pleasant, easy to talk with and knows her facility. If we had any questions they were answered promptly or needed something fixed it was looked into right away. Ty fixed things and always had fresh water with flower in the foot bowl to rinse the sand off our feet before going indoors. He even offered us fresh coconut water. He showed us how to cut the coconut and gave a bit of onto. The differences between the younger coconuts and the older one. Shelly and Ty really make you feel welcome. The place is a bit out dated but for us it was ok and the staff made up for it all!

  Shelly was so sweet, kind and helpful. She even helped me arrange a rent a car at a fair price. Thai also go me a fresh coconut every day.

  Julia’s Cabanas was a convenient spot, located on the beach and near lots of small shops, bars, and restaurants. We loved the ocean view and the spent many days in the hammock on the porch. Shelly and Ty were very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend as an affordable option that is centrally located on the south part of the island. The rooms are not glamorous, but have all your basic needs. The bed was comfy, the fridge was cold, and the AC worked great.
