Apart from the above, the property had everything for a comfortable stay

Whilst the Jungle lodge property was everything needed for a pleasant stay. The big draw back was the stench from the bed pillows. Mildrew/Musty, impossible to sleep on, so we had to purchase new pillows and cases. If there was a smelly bed pillow contest the Jungle Lodge pillows would have won hands down.

Disappointed considering the price and location

Would not recommend staying here. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing due to the cleanliness and overall condition of the lodge. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the lodge was in desperate need of a thorough deep clean and some general maintenance. The sheets on the bed were dirty and had hairs in them. The cooker hood was covered in grease, there were cobwebs and dust everywhere, and the woodwork clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time, with a noticeable build-up of dirt and grime around most of the door frames and doors. The spotlights and filters in the living room were also covered in grime, hair and cobwebs. The sofa was ripped and covered in very old-looking fabric which appeared not to have been properly cleaned in years. There was also mould on the bathroom ceiling above the shower. The windows were extremely dirty and looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned all year, looking outside actually appeared foggy because of how dirty the glass was. The terrace area was equally unkempt and desperately needed brushing and a full jet wash. We couldn’t even sit outside and enjoy the sunshine because the area was so dirty and neglected. To be fair to the owner, we did contact him when we arrived and explained our concerns. He came out and tried his best to address the dirty bedding and clean some of the lodge. However, realistically, this lodge would require at least a couple of days of proper cleaning to bring it up to an acceptable standard. Having already seen the amount of dirt and grime throughout the lodge, and then having to sit on the sofa, we simply couldn’t relax there. We felt dirty and itchy and were uncomfortable using the facilities, including cooking in the kitchen. Sadly, we ended up cutting our holiday short because of the cleanliness. It completely ruined what should have been a relaxing break, and we left feeling extremely disappointed.

As above, it was absolutely filthy

Altogether the stay was lovely and we have wonderful memories of our visit.

The location was great. Pretty easy access to all facilities. Loved the park in general. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pool (especially the hot tub!). The campus shop was excellent and had good stocks of food and general supplies. The restaurant had great service and the food was good. Didn't try the games room just not our thing.

A little disgruntled that the park pass was not included in the overall cost. I am a single pensioner and paid for myself and two granddaughters. Yes, we had a lovely girly time but I thought what I pad for the four nights would have been much more pleasurable had the park pass been included.
