Our host was friendly and accommodating! The food was excellent. We loved the huge bath with a view of the mountains and the sound of the rushing creek just outside the bedroom window. It was so relaxing and peaceful, especially after the bustle of Kyoto. We would definitely stay here again.

The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.
The kitchen could have been better stocked for cooking. We were travelling by public transport which made it hard to get to. It would be perfect if driving
