Stay Here! It's an amazing experience! The host is incredible!
Our stay here was absolutely phenomenal! This is the place to experience Aït Benhaddou. There are so many reasons to stay here. You're inside the actual old Kasbah! That means that when all the day-visiting tourists leave at night you can explore with basically no one around. This is the same in the morning as well before 10am. -As for the Riad, it is such an experience. Such a unique home with so many places to explore... right inside your riad! The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms and showers work great. Hot water! The terrace is absolutely to die for, an amazing place to relax. The dinner they served was so yummy and the breakfast was great as well. - Now the host... so kind. so sweet. so fun to talk to. He told us about the experience of living in a place where so many movies and tv shows are filmed. He pointed out the locations to us and even showed us some pictures and told us some background info about how long the sets took to build and how long they actually filmed for - ask him about it, it's mind blowing. We stayed in the same room that Paul Mescal stayed in during the filming of Gladiator 2 ... right across from the room where Denzel Washington stayed! How crazy is that? - As a side note, we walked around in search of some rugs and the best experience we had was with the man who sells rugs right across from the Riad's front door. Great price, great options. Respectful and not pushy, which is great because other vendors can be veryyyy pushy in Aït Benhaddou. We ended up buying two small rugs for our bathrooms and we love them.
