    Like a home stay with great views

    This felt more like a home stay than a road/hotel. Kasbah Izoran is down a bumpy road. It has exceptional views. The owner Mustafa is warm and friendly. He built the house and you can tell it is a labor of love. The rooms are named after wonderful figures like Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Mustafa upgraded toa bigger room but I would still call it modest. MUstafa’s wife makes and serves the food his kids run around. I loved that. I had messaged Mustafa asking for dinner the morning before we arrived and waning him we were vegetarians but apparently he didn’t have a chance to read my message. But we had homemade soup and salad, bread and a lovely fruit plate. Breakfast was a simple omelet, bread and spreads plus orange juice and coffee.

    I couldn’t sleep well because there was a dog chained up outside that was barking most of the night (apparently at foxes). I even had earplugs but the dog still kept me up.

    Beautiful, typical Kasbah situated in Midelt, the prefect stop between the desert and the north of Morocco. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very delicious.
