Good for a short stay, great location if you want to commute to Melbourne centre and have a car to drive outside

No nonsense, Peaceful, no drama, straight forward, what you see is what you get, yet nothing missing, nice touch on free
Many things: - Plenty of old school charm if you know what you are looking at. - properly built around a fairly disused middle of property greenhouse garden type courtyard nothing too spectacular yet plenty of tables and chairs to sit out there and relax. - public pool and spa were operational pool not exactly heated yet in the warmer months this time of year having a bit of a cooler yet not cold nor too cold etc pool was welcome and of course the spa is literally attached to the pool for quick and easy swapping to the warmer heated spa option. -Both the swimming pool and the spa were clean yet the spa was a little on the slightly foamy from whatever cleaning products they use on it yet that was easily settled by just not walking the distance to the spa jets button on the other top side of the shallow end wall. - Rooms were plenty spacious, everything available just tucked away in cupboards which with a 3 and 1/2 yr old boy wasn’t the end of the world actually helped with less things to grab etc - brass door lock on the inside of the room didn’t work meaning our boy could reach the handle and easily could get the better of us if we let our guard down too much and just walk clean out of the room luckily hotel halls and corridors are quite large and not straight out onto Inkerman St lol -close enough to toorak rd for our 9am Friday morning appointment at the australian/chinese consulate for travel document final processing sighting our son for stamp of republic of china travel document no visa required as he was born here and wife has PR citizenship ceremony offered yet her own country revoke her own citizenship if she takes on ours so PR was the way for us. - Digressing lol back to the review, close enough to Lygon street, Chapel Street, Carlisle Street Acland Street, the city, short enough drive to docklands to ride the reopening night of the Melbourne Star Observation Ferris Wheel.
$200 security deposit yet should be returned this morning anyway upon no issues check out, whether they would have done it anyway regardless yet possibly just because it was my 42nd birthday and they were just making sure I knew not to go to hard we weren’t even in the room all evening anyway only came back end night and sleep. No room upgrade to the suite or whatever the room up on the deluxe one even when mentioned in passing that it happened to be my birthday, to there defence they said none were available anyway so perhaps fully booked and couldn’t.
