Lovely property and host. Well situated to explore both north and south Devon.
The property was a multi storey townhouse and had charm and character. My room - room #1 (including the en-suite) was very clean and spacious. Very comfortable king size bed and the bathroom was clean with a separate bath and large shower cubicle. John the owner was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The choices at breakfast were excellent and the cooked option all freshly prepared by John, which set me up for the whole day. The property was within walking distance of a couple of decent pubs, serving local beers and simple pub grub. John did provide some recommendations of nice places to eat, which would have entailed driving a short distance. I chose not to do that but would suggest that you give those a try if you are looking for a better quality of evening meal above basic pub grub. I travelled by motorcycle and the property had a very secure and enclosed car park - perfect and like hens teeth for us motorcyclists. This alone was worth the price in having stress free overnight parking.

Excellent
The room was spacious and comfy. We had a sofa to relax on. I have coeliac disease and Jon provided me with GF 'safe' cooked breakfast, which was very much appreciated. Very quiet and relaxed location. Choice of breakfast time.
A waste paper bin in the room would have been useful!!!

Wonderful short stay
Everything! Fabulous clean & comfy accommodation which had everything we needed. Attention to detail was second to none as was John's helpfulness & friendliness Only regret was that we didn't stay longer.
Unsure of where to park when we arrived.

The property was truly a piece of art, we loved the features, the history behind certain rooms, the lovely paintings in the breakfast room and the proximity to everything we needed!
We would have loved a fridge in our rooms but that did not take away from anything during our stay
