    The cottage is very nice and in a lively location. There were even some welcome goodies.

    The cottage was very clean but sadly on our stay, upon arrival there was a pungent smell of bleach which we could only partially eliminate by opening all windows and doors. It gave us all headaches and watery eyes. It also in the end damaged all of our footwear- so we assume . The host was responsive but the problem remained. I assume this will get resolved.

    The property fully meets the requirement of a couple staying on a short-term basis.

    The quiet location. Modern facilities. Rear garden- but see below. On-site car parking. Large bed. Comfortable furnishings.

    The radiator in the bathroom is badly rusted and needs replaced. The garden is somewhat overgrown and needs cutting back to open it up and the main tree beside the rear wall needs cutting down. As the property is dog-friendly, there is a whiff of dog. While the lack of a washing machine was not an issue for us, it would have been if we had been staying longer- in our view, better to have a washing machine than the dish-washer.
