    Excellent accommodation and atmosphere for family with young children

    We had an amazing stay at Kiwengwa Boutique Bungalows with our family including three young children. They serve an exellent breakfast with a wide variety, including fruit, pancakes, egg options and yoghurts. The play area next to the breakfast area made it possible for us to have a few quiet moment too as parents. The pool was also excellent for the children as it was provided with toys to play with and had a shallow part that was ideal for our toddler to splash around in. We cold borrow some buckets and spades to use at the beach that is just a short distance away. The restaurant on the beach was also excellent and they serve very good coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The service was really friendly, the staff did their utmost best to help with the children, there were high chairs provided and our room had a cot with mosquito net on it. One of us became unwell and had to stay at the nearby clinic overnight and KBB staff were most accommodating and supportive during this time. We are very grateful for the staff to making us feel so welcome, cared for and at home to enjoy a great holiday at the beach. They did go above and beyond and that makes all the difference when traveling with young kids. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family and hope to be back one day.

    Due to the power outage on the island the power occassionally went off, however there is the generator for back up power and they especially turned it on while one of us was in the hospital so that we could use the wifi to communicate which I thought was very sympathetic. I also think it is perfectly manageable without power for periods in the day as there is a lot to do without needing power and it gives a realistic idea of what Zanzibar is, so I don't really rate this as a negative point during our stay.

    Ruim opgezette bungalow met een fijn buitenterras. Nabij het strand gelegen met een beachrestaurant en strandbedjes.

    Het sanitair in de badkamer is verouderd en verdient een opknapbeurt.
