    Beautiful little place

    A beautiful property and ideal for a short break. Exceptionally clean with an incredible powerful shower. Easy access, everything you could possibly need and milk in the fridge ready for an arrival cuppa was appreciated! The Queens Head pub up the road is absolutely worth a visit. Great staff, beautiful courtyard and wonderful food!

    The windy stairs aren't the easiest to navigate and we had to keep our suitcase downstairs because getting it up would have been dangerous/tricky but it really wasn't an issue for us. The bed is quite soft, not our preference but we got used to it by the third night. Again, not really an issue as bed firmness is a personal thing and you simply can't expect your preference wherever you go.

    We really enjoyed our 4-night stay.

    A spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished property in a wonderful, tranquil location near a river. Salisbury and the beautiful Wiltshire countryside easily accessible by car. The kitchen and lounge were very good. It was nice having an upstairs AND downstairs toilet. We enjoyed meeting Ian, the potter, in his studio/workshop.

    For us, the mattress was a little uncomfortable. We were OK, but taller, plus-sized people with big cases may struggle with the spiral staircase, sloping ceiling and understandably low bed.

    peaceful stsy

    lovely place to stay, well placed for visiting Salisbury, stonehenge or avebury.. Comfortable, warm and well appointed.

    restricted headroom in the bedroom.
