    We stopped a night here during our trip from Minakami to Kanazawa, after a day at Obuse/Nagano. We slept in a traditional room. Toilets were shared on the floor. There was no proper bathroom, one must go to the Onsen for shower. That didn't bother us, it's a bit different than usual. We like the possibility to book a private "family" Onsen. The staff was extremely friendly. They also recommend us a hike we could do before sunset, and it was beautiful. Food was also part of the experience, both dinner and breakfast traditional and very good!

    The structure is a bit ageing, like many in Japan. It didn't bother us, but maybe it's not the place to go if you're expecting ultra modern luxury.
