Shino's place was amazing! It was cozy and nicely designed and instantly made me feel like I'm home. It was very soothing to be able to stay at such a nice cabin after a long day of hike. On top of that, the dinner we received was very tasty and satisfying, and so is the breakfast which we had at Shino's cafe across the town. This is definitely one of my best memories of Kumano Kodo!

Hele vriendelijke eigenaresse, maar helaas veel te krap voor onze groep
Shino, de eigenaresse, is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De communicatie met haar verliep heel prettig en vlot. Ze heeft voor ons geregeld dat onze koffers naar de volgende accommodatie werden doorgestuurd, wat erg fijn was. Ook had ze voor ons dinerboxen, ontbijt en lunchboxen verzorgd, die allemaal smakelijk waren.
Helaas vonden wij de accommodatie zelf een stuk minder geschikt voor een grotere groep dan de beschrijving op Booking doet vermoeden. Volgens Booking is het huisje geschikt voor maximaal 10 personen, maar wij vonden het met 8 volwassenen en een baby van 8 maanden heel erg krap. Er zijn twee slaapkamers met in totaal vijf bedden. Voor de overige gasten kunnen futons op de grond worden gelegd in de woonkamer, maar die ruimte is vrij klein en daarvoor moeten ook de bank en tafel worden verschoven. Daarnaast is er aan de eettafel in de keuken slechts plaats voor zes personen en beschikt het huisje over maar één badkamer. Voor onze baby hadden we zelf een reisbedje meegenomen, omdat er geen babybedje beschikbaar was. Wel moesten we voor de baby hetzelfde bedrag betalen als voor de volwassenen, wat we jammer vonden. Hoewel we de gastvrijheid en behulpzaamheid van Shino enorm hebben gewaardeerd, vonden wij de accommodatie helaas echt te klein voor ons gezelschap

Loved everything about this place. Shino is amazing, she is super easy to get in contact with, and made us delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location is great for a stop along the Kumano Kodo trail and you have everything you need in the house. Shino's friend even waited in the bus queue for us whilst we were eating breakfast in her cafe before heading out for our next stage. 100% recommend.

Beautiful location, very helpful manager of property. She was very detailed and prompt and very nice.
