Great place but with a soundproofing issue
Good location. The place is neat, well equipped and with an amazing view
Soundproofing was terrible. We could hear every move of the other guests.

Peaceful, modern apartment in pastoral setting along the South Coast.
Nice base for day trips along the South Coast. Located a couple of kms south of the ring road, a few hours from Reykjavik. Access via a gravel road, with a shared parking lot. Seems like one of 3-4 similar units built right next to the host family's house. Far enough away from Reykjavik to feel like you're in Iceland. Far enough away from the ring road to feel isolated. Views of (agriculture) fields and mountains. Host family lives adjacent to the property, but was also unobtrusive. Nice when we had questions or needed anything. Modern apartment (seems brand new!), large bathroom, nice appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, adequately furnished kitchenette, we made dinners there without problem. Block-out blinds in the bedrooms make it easy to sleep in the summer.
It's not near anything, so bring all your groceries, etc., with you from Reykjavik. But, you already knew that, that's why you chose this location. ;) Bring a fly swatter! The space is on the small side for four adults, but it's well-lit with windows. The views are gorgeous, so you want to keep the blinds open, but then the sun makes it get stuffy. When you open the windows, you get a refreshing breeze blowing through the apartment, but then the flies come... I don't know what the hosts are supposed to do about that, I think it just comes with the territory. Don't get me wrong, I would stay here again; but next time I'm bringing a good fly swatter with me.

The apartment and the commodities were great, check in and check out was very easy. Since the apartment is somewhat remote, we were able to catch some auroras just outside the apartment

Perfect location, modern and super clean!
Super clean, modern amenities, perfect location. Saw the northern lights when we arrived! Flexible with checking in late. Very modern, enjoyed our time here.
