    Great to stay in a traditional style ryokan, although that came with some compromises (futons for 2 family members, no kitchen facilities). Modern bathroom, although not as big as other accommodation. Staff present and very helpful. Good location - close to bus routes, temples and Gion area, lots of places to eat nearby.
