    Luxury meets retro

    The location, decor, layout and outdoor bath! Kyoko was phenomenal! Her green tea ceremony, hospitality, and helpfulness were top notch! Thank you Kyoko, you were the best!

    The lack of noise insulation. For instance, when cars drove by it was very obvious

    Relaxing home to slow down and relax during a busy trip

    Extremely accommodating and kind staff. Yuuki-san gave a very informative check-in process and made us feel at home. Property is beautiful and spacious for 6 people.

    Loud noises from roads (e.g. cars) can be heard from the room nearest to the street but otherwise very quiet neighborhood. A few spiders found in the same room but the hotel proactively prepared insect repellent.

    Wonderful authentic stay and food. And the staff more than friendly and helpful! Everything was perfectly organised!

    Book eyes closed

    Small house with everything you need, especially the Private onsen is fantastic to use. The house is extremely Zen for those who appreciate like me. In particular, the service is excellent for breakfast but also for any issues.

    Wonderful stay in Kyoto!

    Beautiful Machiya, baths were fantastic, location was great, tea service and meal service was wonderful. Appreciated having laundry at the facility as well.
