Trinken Sie Ihren "Absacker" nicht im sonst guten "L'Amirauté"
Das Zimmer für die zwei Nächste war schon okay, Frühstück können wir nicht beurteilen ("Paul" auf der nahen Hauptstraße war uns nach der schwachen Bar-Performance am Abend davor lieber), die Lage ist gut, etwa für das interessante Marine-Museum, den Tour Tanguy oder die "Seilbahn" zur anderen Seite von Brest. Zu "Oceanopolis" (siehe aber auch Negatives) sollte man ohnehin mit dem Taxi fahren; im dortigen Port de Plaisance können wir übrigens das fröhliche Lokal "Tour du Monde" sehr empfehlen, wenn man vor allem Muscheln gerne isst. Die Einfahrt zur Hotel-Garage befindet sich genau auf der anderen Block-Seite des Hotels, ein wenig Vorsicht ist angebracht, wenn man vor ein etwas größeres Auto hat.
Allgemein zu Brest: Wir waren angesichts so mancher negativer Meinungen von der jugendlichen Geschäftigkeit durchaus positiv überrascht. Nur "Oceanopolis" dürfte ein Problem haben: Wir hatten ja schon gelesen, dass Teile immer wieder geschlossen sind. Für uns war es überhaupt zu, denn obwohl ich vor unserer Abreise gegoogelt hatte, dass montags geöffnet ist - war dann doch plötzlich Ruhetag. Zum Hotel: Die (nette) Rezeptionistin war auch für die Bar zuständig und hatte leider keine Ahnung von einem Calvados oder einem anderen "Eau de vie" oder von den Bieren; der alternative Rotwein war schrecklich und viel zu warm.
