    Americans stay elsewhere. all that is shiny isn't gold.

    I did not stay here. The property was not welcoming nor kind. They denied it was due to Canadian/American policial atmosphere yet their message before my arrival were merely, we will have a room ready and when I asked if I'd be welcome it was brushed off. When I said their communications concerned me wanted to cancel they said go ahead we won't refund you. When they were asked if we could have a credit toward a future stay, they replied NO, which when you think of it illustrates my assessment was correct we were NOT welcome. I followed up with the manager because I prefer to work things out before posting publicly and was met with similar attitude. Given the violence in our world I would not recommend reserving here. If you are in the area and stop by and feel welcome then great Today's world is expensive and too dangerous to give your life and money to people who say ok I'll get a room for you without further wishes for safe travels or notes that they are looking forward to welcoming you. Be careful where you lay your head at night because the devil comes to seek and destroy...

    Attitudes of the hostess or the manger insisting they did no wrong and would not offer me a future stay or credit for nights not stayed with them. Some folks need to.lesrn what hospitality is and how to offer it. Hotels and accomodations are supposed to be hospitality. Photos are moot, attitudes are everything.

    Always a great time at La Cache du gold. Room was huge, there was a nice balcony, very comfortable. It's right by the highway.
