    Decepcionante

Unfortunately, a place that could easily have been a good stay became one of the worst experiences of our trip. We travelled around Italy with our 7-month-old baby and specifically chose accommodations that accepted families with babies, so we expected basic standards of cleanliness, comfort and rest. We arrived around 9 p.m., tired after walking from the station, and found a loud event taking place in the restaurant downstairs. After waiting to be received, the welcome felt quite cold. There was no drinking water in the room, and when my husband went downstairs to ask for still water, he was ignored for several minutes before being told that they had none available, only sparkling water. The air conditioning was clearly not working properly, and soon we started sneezing and coughing. We noticed that it was blowing out a strange dark substance. When we looked more carefully at the room, we found a lot of dust on the floor, hairs that were not ours and cobwebs on the walls. We actually had to wipe the floor ourselves with a wet towel just to make the room more comfortable for the night. The loud music continued until around midnight, followed by people talking and shouting outside until approximately 1 a.m. The room also has no proper blackout curtains, so in the morning it becomes very bright. The next day, all three of us were feeling unwell. Our baby also developed fever, sneezing and nasal congestion. We cannot prove or medically establish that this was caused by the accommodation, but the poor cleanliness and condition of the air conditioning certainly did not help. We complained directly to the property. Communication was difficult because the person we spoke to only spoke Italian, so we showed photos and presented a message translated into Italian explaining the situation and asking urgently for the room to be properly cleaned. Unfortunately, when we returned later that day, the room was still dusty and the cobwebs were still there.
