  Great place to stay (for a longer period). Didn't like online checkin method.

  The location is very nice. It is in a relatively quiet neighbourhood but still close to the lakes. There are also several supermarkets in walking distance. There are also bus stops close by with connections to both lake Como and Lugano, (we didn't use them, our stay was relatively short). The apartment is fully featured and has a lot of storage options. It seems excellent for a longer stay.

  The online check-in procedure was stressful to us. All guests (including young children) have to be in front of a camera holding their ID clearly visible. You can't just upload a redacted version of ID documents. The service used to facilitate the checkin claims that all information is deleted after processing, but I you have to trust them to actually do so and that your data cannot be stolen. The online checkin method was only apparent after booking. Honestly, while our stay was good, this is enough for us not to book there again.

  Vakantiehuis nabij Porlezza

  Mooi en ruim vakantie huis met 's morgens zon in de voortuin en een balkon met zicht op bergen en een natuurgebied. De host was online en telefonisch beschikbaar en betrokken.

  Er viel niets tegen. Als minpunt zou je de omslachtige check-in procedure kunnen noemen.

  Terrible stay! Never again.

  -It was spacious.

  -Very old apartment. -There was a check-in process and that was very time consuming. This was the most difficult checking process i did in my life. While doing the online check-in i regretted booking this apartment. We needed to sign a contract that we are renting this place and the liability was ours. It was exactly how you do when you rent a place for long term and not for short 3 night stay. -They told us to clean the dishes, empty the garbage (also send us a document for this). There was no dishwasher in the apartment. So we needed to wash dishes and clean up the garbage for a short stay of 3 nights despite paying almost 95 Euros for cleaning. We felt cheated. If I am paying for cleaning i do not want to clean dishes and clean up garbage. This is their job. -The bathroom was not very clean. -The door opens with a phone app. Very weird. If you do not have charge in your phone you cannot enter the apartment. -I had the impression the owners lived next door. But they would not come to help you, they deal everything over phone. I felt hospitality was missing. -Overall I would not recommend the apartment and it is not worth the price they are charging. The apartment is very very old and shabby.
