Lovely cottage a few steps from the waterside
It was so nice to spend a few days at Chioggia after the hectic Venezia and relax in a lovely cottage. Probably a renovated fishermen's house as the fishermen are still active at the nearby quay, and the neighbourhood is still pretty authentic. Cristian has made a lot of effort to create a welcoming atmosphere with lots of small gifts. Kitchen is very well equipped and nice bathroom. Kind an attentive host who responds immediately to messages. At walking distance from busstand where direct busses leave for Venezia and Padova. Supermarket around the corner.
The pedestrian streets go around the cottage so the curtains need to be closed for privacy. That feels a bit enclosed. Fortunately there's lots of lamps so it's not dark inside. Laundry was a bit of a hassle, where to hang ? And it took 3 days to dry.
