So disappointing
This experience was a tale of two sides. On one hand, the house manager, Thu, was incredibly friendly and tried everything to resolve the issues we faced. Thank you, Thu, for all your hard work and for trying so hard to make things right!
The apartment had critical failures that good will alone could not fix. Electrical Safety: The stove was unusable; the circuit tripped immediately upon switching it on. Cooling Failure: With outside temperatures reaching 40°C, the air conditioning was a major disappointment. The AC units blew warm air, and the provided fans offered no relief. Common Areas: The downstairs lounge/coffee room was also unusable due to a non-functional AC. Finally management offered to transfer us to another property on our last two days, but we decided to leave for a different hotel. To their credit, they did provide free transfers to that new location, which was much appreciated. The property has beautiful potential, but it is currently uninhabitable during hot weather.

Picturesque Homestay
La Maison Gao is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and in a very picturesque setting across from rice paddies. The apartments and the entire complex are beautiful, and they are represented well in the pictures. Communication with the property management was easy and timely. I’d highly recommend staying at La Maison Gao.
The complex is situated about 10-15 min by bicycle or scooter from the old town. While there are a few restaurants nearby, the selection is limited.

We sadly only stayed a very short while but I can easily see myself staying for a week at least!! The space is so comfortable!! And so beautiful. Felt like being at home. The pool was a refreshing welcome and we just loved ordering grab food from local restaurants, delivered straight to our door and staying in. Recommended
