A Lovely Hotel with a Few Areas for Improvement

**★★★★☆ 4/5 – A Lovely Hotel with a Few Areas for Improvement** La Maison Palmier continues to be one of my preferred places to stay in Abidjan, having visited several times before. It's a beautiful hotel with a welcoming atmosphere, great amenities, and plenty to enjoy. Unfortunately, this visit started off a bit rocky. There was a delay during check-in, and I had to change rooms twice. The room I originally reserved was still occupied, and the first alternative offered was significantly smaller and not the room category I had booked. While the situation was eventually resolved, it wasn't the smoothest start to my stay. On the positive side, the bar is fantastic, offering a great variety of cocktails, and the breakfast buffet has an impressive spread. However, if you're staying for more than a few days, the breakfast options can become a bit repetitive. The hotel also has a lovely pool and a well-equipped gym. One area that could use improvement is poolside service. On one occasion, I waited over 30 minutes before receiving assistance to place an order. A little more attentiveness to guests enjoying the pool would make a significant difference. Despite these few hiccups, I genuinely enjoy La Maison Palmier and would happily return. It's a lovely property with a lot to offer, and with a bit more attention to service consistency and the check-in experience, it could easily earn five stars from me.

The main drawbacks were the delayed check-in and having to change rooms twice because my reserved room was occupied and the first alternative did not match the category I booked. While the breakfast spread was nice, the selection became repetitive after a few days. Poolside service could also be improved, as I waited over 30 minutes for assistance with placing an order. Overall, greater attention to service and consistency would make the experience even better.

The rooms are over priced even though the hotel doesn’t have facilities like Sofitel etc . $500 per night for a room is on the high side as compared to Sofitel that doesn’t about $300 per night . There should be options from between $250 to $400.
