Coffee machine had mold growing in it - they said that they had a new cleaner and sent her up to clean it with water- although I had bought filter coffee I did not want to use it as I felt it had not been cleaned properly. We were offered breakfast to compensate but we just had a coffee. When leaving the ‘lady’ booked a taxi for us which didn’t arrive on time so we booked an Uber - we told her that we could not wait any longer and so booked the Uber. She proceeded to ring the taxi service who then arrived! We didn’t use this taxi as we had booked an uber (and had told her). She started shouting and was extremely rude to us.

A relaxing break in a very tasteful and peaceful hotel.
Beautifully furnished and very good location.
Would prefer small tables for breakfast personally but everything else was excellent. We did have a problem on arrival (which was an hour earlier than check in but which I had emailed about) and could not get into the hotel as no one would answer calls/doorbell and had to wait on the pavement for over an hour. They were very apologetic.

Ideal spot for touring, cafe's, bars, thank you La Maison Vieille Maison
The cottage room was spacious, comfortable and was in a great location for visiting the old and newer cites. We chose not to have breakfast there but saw how good they were. We would re-book if we ever visited Carcassonne again. Oh, and the staff were very helpful too. Thank you.
What not to like? It was great.
