  The pool is nice

  We had a disappointing stay as several aspects did not meet our expectations. The check-in window was very narrow, and despite arriving before 8:00 PM (just an hour and a half late), we were still charged an extra fee. Inside, the bed sheets had an unpleasant smell, the washing machine smelled of mold, and the hot water ran out very quickly. Additionally, the kitchen was unwelcoming, and the villa's extremely isolated location felt uncomfortable and unsafe, particularly when arriving at night.

  Realistic expectations for a nice villa

  I wanted to submit a realistic review of this accommodation so that you’re not surprised on your visit here. Overall the place grew on us after a few days of getting settled and admiring the views/location. If you plan to use it as a base with the occasional villa day then it would be good. The accommodation is situated within a gated area that seems sketchy when you first arrive, the whole accommodation has locked gated windows etc which does make you feel a bit on edge. Some maintenance is definitely needed as the place has a lot of potential but outside was really warn, and don’t appear to have been looked after for some time. The pool is nowhere near how it appears in the images, and was full of algae on our first day. We attempted to clean it with the robot ourselves. This was really disappointing as it was one of the main reasons we booked this villa, eventually the owners came to clean it which did help. There were hair clippings in the drawer in the bathroom on our arrival which was not great. Location is super close to to the gorges and also quad bike tour to the northern Etna view location which were great! Other than that the town is super quiet but was good as a base for us for other places as we had hire cars.

  Großzügiges Anwesen, man hat praktisch ein Haus mit Orangenplantage, Pool, Barbecue-Bereich usw. nur für sich. Alles da, was man braucht, zwei Bäder, drei Schlafzimmer und eine große Küche. Dazu noch ein schöner Blick auf Francavilla und die Ruine des Castello Ruffo in einer sehr ruhigen Lage.
