    P erfect location and very clean – but major issue with the entrance door

    The apartment is extremely clean and has an outstanding location. The proximity to the fish market and Piazza Duomo is unbeatable – you are right in the heart of Catania and can easily reach everything on foot.

    Unfortunately, there was a major issue with the second entrance door. The door could only be opened with an extreme amount of force: you have to pull the door with both arms using full strength while simultaneously turning the key. I was unable to open the door on my own and had to ask strangers on the street for help. Only after several attempts was a man with a lot of strength able to finally open it. Overall a lovely apartment, but the locking mechanism on the second door urgently needs to be repaired or replaced by the host. Otherwise, solo travelers—or anyone without significant physical strength—risk being locked out.
