La atención del personal.
El colchón era bastante duro y no había cortinas en las ventanas, algo importante porque en Arequipa amanece muy temprano. Desde las 5 a. m. entraba la luz del sol y me despertaba cuando todavía quería descansar. Entiendo que el hotel sea antiguo, pero creo que podrían renovar algunos detalles, como el clóset y el baño. El desayuno también me pareció bastante básico. En general, hay aspectos que podrían mejorar para que la estadía sea más cómoda.

Very well located. Friendly staff. Spacious room.
This is a big problem with this hotel - the noise! There is a nightclub in the courtyard where the music is so loud that the walls shake. All the noise from the street can be heard in the room. It is impossible to sleep. Poor breakfast. If you are going to be in the center it is great, but if you also want to rest, look for something else.

Central to everything, exceptional customer service!
La Posada Del Fraile is located just 1 minute from the Arequipa Plaza. Handy to restaurants, cafes, shops, tourist attractions, and pharmacy. Just opposite to the Hostal is a healthy cafe. Rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff replaced towels every day. There is a beautiful terrace on the top and other living rooms where you can sit and have your coffee. The breakfast was included in the price. They made it for us fresh juice. Choice of coffee or tea, nice fresh bread eggs, ham, and avocado. Customer service was exceptional from the helpful and courteous receptionist Sonmy and Estefani to the kitchen staff Hermelinda y Vicky.
The noise from the nightclubs on the weekends but most of the hotels, hostels and other accommodation has same problem due to proximity to Arequipa central plaza. My room was having a double glass protection from weather and noise. This helped to minimise noise. There is no lift in the premises, but staff help us to carry our luggage to our rooms on the third floor.
