    La Punta di Varenna- best lodging on Lake Como

    Private balcony with Dream view overlooking lake como. Quiet area 1 mile outside Varenna away from the crowds. Host/owner Viviana (who spoke English very well), welcomed us and treated us like family from the start. She lived in the apartment next door and it was fun finding time to chat with her across the balconies. Booking.com said “1 unit left”. In reality, there is only 1 unit for rent. It’s a newly reconstructed unit attached to Viviana’s home and she’s passionate about taking care of her guests and very proud of her home.

    The location was perfect for scenery. And the apartment itself was wonderful. A flight of 18 stairs from ground floor to main bedroom which was ok if you can do stairs. 1 mile walk (about 20-30 minutes) uphill along lake coming from Varenna. Walk wasn’t impossible especially if you took your time and enjoyed the lake and mountain scenery along the way. We stayed 5 nights and each day we walked to and from Varenna and with each day the walk felt a little easier and a little shorter.

    Comme à la maison

    Le lieu est sublime. Autant dans le paysage que dans l'aménagement. La petite maison possède tout ce dont on a besoin et est décoré avec goût. Très propre, on est accueillie chaleureusement par Viviana comme si on était à la maison. Cela fait chaud au coeur et ne rend le sejour que meilleur encore. Je recommande fortement.
