    Good Location, Poor AC

    The location of the apartment was very good. Roughly a 5-15 minute walk from the major sites across Florence and the train station. There is also a food store right across the street, which is very convenient.

    We had a significant issue with the air conditioning. There are AC units in the three bedrooms (One of which is a loft above the living room), but there is no AC in the living room, long hallway, or bathroom, and we were told not to use the one in the kitchen. We were also told not to place the units below 21 C, or they will start leaking and not work. Upon our arrival, the internal temp of the apartment read 31C since, and we promptly turned on all three units to 21C as asked. When reaching out to the hosts, we were told to just give it time and the place would cool off. Two hours later, the temperature inside rose to 35C. We were told to disregard these numbers, and as far as she was aware via a remote control app of the HVAC, she assured us that it would cool off. Shortly after this, 2 of the three AC units displayed error codes, shut off, and started to leak water; this was while staying at 21C as requested. (Attached photo shows the leaking) With two members of our group having health issues, we could not stay at this apartment and had to find alternate accommodations somewhere else for our 4 nights in Florence.
