Dark spot on a wonderful trip
How close it was to La Villa Hotel
The place is nice but the owners son is terrible. Gaslighting us, screaming at us while we stayed there making the experience there very difficult. The problem he claims is we made noise long into the night. The excessive noise he claims, occurred for 15 minutes around midnight and was not enough to wake a sleeping baby. The son decided not to talk to us and ask us to keep it down, rather he screamed in the hall after we all went to our room. Which was really alarming since we were under the impression that we were alone in house. After our stay he been sending us threatening messages, calling us and further harassment. Saying if we do not remove our reviews he will make us pay extra charges. For your safety choose another location. The son sleeps in a bed in the kitchen so I think he has newly moved in, explaining the excellent reviews up to this point.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Mauro war ein netter und freundlicher Gastgeber. Jeden Morgen gab es ein kleines, aber frisches Frühstück – für einen guten Start in den Tag völlig ausreichend.
Wir wussten im Voraus, dass es sich nicht um ein klassisches Hotel mit Rezeption handelt. Trotzdem fühlten wir uns vor Ort teilweise sehr auf uns alleine gestellt. Mauro gab uns zwar seine Telefonnummer und war per Handy erreichbar, allerdings war nach dem Frühstück niemand mehr vor Ort. Da er selbst etwa 10 Minuten entfernt wohnt, fehlte uns etwas die persönliche Betreuung während des Aufenthalts. Etwas schade fanden wir auch, dass die Unterkunft mit dem Weingut Laficaia beworben wird. Gerade bei einem Aufenthalt auf einem Weingut hätten wir uns sehr über eine kleine Weinverkostung oder zumindest ein Angebot für eine Degustation gefreut. Leider wurde uns dies nicht angeboten. Das Dorf selbst ist eher abgelegen und sehr ruhig. Für Ausflüge in die Umgebung ist ein Auto empfehlenswert.
