An unforgettable, highly spacious holiday home featuring stunning lake views and a prime location.
This was hands down the best property during our entire South Island trip. We had a large group of 15 people, and there was plenty of space and bedrooms for both the parents and the kids to stay comfortably. The location is absolutely fantastic—there is literally just a road separating the backyard from the lake. The views of the lake and mountains from the entire house, especially the living room, are stunning. Three out of the six bedrooms also boast these beautiful views. We will cherish our memories here forever! The only minor downside was the lack of indoor activities for children, such as a table tennis or pool table, which would have been a great addition. However, this was definitely not a dealbreaker. Highly recommended for large groups!
As a side note, there was a spa pool on-site, but it was unfortunately quite dirty with a lot of leaves and mozzies in the water. Given that it's located in the backyard and completely surrounded by plants, it’s somewhat expected, but it just needed a bit of a clean before arrival. Even so, we highly recommend this property for large groups!

The house is big and very comfortable, suitable for big groups. The view is also very good and the house is clean

Great for big group family
Once you see the beautiful sunrise over the lake, you’ll understand how this house got its name. The views are absolutely amazing, and the house is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a large group. We loved our stay here!
The only minor downside is that one or two of the bedrooms are relatively small compared to the others, but overall it didn’t affect our experience.
