    Motel with lots of charm.

    The location was across the street from Lake Lure, and the motel had so much character.

    There was no breakfast on weekdays.

    Beautiful scenes, smiling faces, good food but bugs and rust.

    People and breakfast.

    Bugs in the shower. Rusty vents. Hard to see room numbers no light on the outside lodge rooms.

    Come for the beauty and history of the inn, not another cookie cutter hotel

    Great location, so much history and art and artifacts to explore in the inn, including spirits! The bed was beautiful with luxurious pillows and sheets and a big fluffy comforter. The towels were very nice and the little basket of soaps and such was a great touch. The staff was wonderful! So inviting and helpful and warm.

    Musty smell in the room especially when you turn on the wall unit for either cooling or heating. Small room, small bathroom with essentially no counter space (but you have to keep in mind the age of this lovely place) carpeting is hard to describe but I kept my shoes on.

    Thought it was a little over priced.Stayed in a much nicer room in Bryson City for little less money

    When I booked the room I thought I would be staying in the actual hotel but stayed in a detached room on hotel property.But it was quite because there was no one else there.was no breakfast only coffee.
