Lovely
Probably one of the best locations in Lake Tekapo. Right next to the Church and walking distance from the town. Sauna in the compound also which was really accessible and easy to book. Thanks !
There was an option to pay a once off damage deposit for the room or a 350 dollar bond which i thought was unusual but other than that fantastic stay, location and room.

The location is great, a short walk away from most things including the lake.
The smell as I walked in from past cooking, and the discovery of a mouse in our room. The shower flooded after a couple of minutes and the hand soap was empty. There was also the shock non refundable charge of 35 dollars incase of damages or 350 refundable if no damage is found.

Very cute little space
We didn't realise how loud the trucks on the road would be - kept us awake most of the night.

Clean, comfortable, spa was pre heated and ready for use.
4pm check in is far too late, it should be 2pm check in. Constant emails about our one night booking. Booking.com stated 11am check out, however woke up to an email from the staff staying 10am check out. Received an email a few days before stay and had to pay an additional $35 non refundable damages cover prior to check in, this was ridiculous and should be covered within the already expensive price.

Comfortable for one night.
The rooms were well equipped and it was great to be able to close off the two rooms or have them connected. The dining/kitchen area was lovely to eat or hang out in for a short stay (would have been too small for a longer stay). The dedicated car space was very useful and close to the front door. The bed was super comfy and the heated blankets on the bed were welcome as we were re greeted with a blanket of snow outside in the morning. The accommodation is close to the church, and the touritsy spot for shopping and restaurants.
It was basic but comfortable. The check in details asks you to complete an ID check via third party - this includes sending a photo of a licence (back and front), and a self at minimum into a third party website, but note that the entry details to the accommodation were provided regardless, so it was unnecessary.
